Fajr Suhbah

[Suhbah starts at 1:16:30.]

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem. (Du`a.) Dastoor, yaa Sayyidi, yaa Sultan al-Anbiyaa. Dastoor, yaa Sayyidee, yaa Sultan al-Awliya. Madad, yaa Rijaalullah.

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem. SubhaanAllah yaa imam, Al-Hayy, The Ever Living, The Alive. One word exposes all of Christianity, one Name of Allah exposes their foundation. Allah says:

اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ

Allah! There is no god but He, The Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. (Surat al-Baqarah, 2:255)

A delegation from a place called Najran came to Rasoolullah (s), and he invited them to accept the Truth. They gave him reasons about Sayyidina `Isa (a), and we read Surat al-Ma’ida in Salaat al-Fajr, where Allah (swt) says: A anta qulta li ‘n-naas? “Is it you that said?”

And behold, Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you say to men, ‘Worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah?’” He will say, ‘Glory to You! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would indeed have known it. You know what is in my heart, and I know not what is in Yours, for You know in full all that is hidden.’” (Surat al-Ma’idah, 5:116)

Imagine if Allah is asking you, “Is it you that said that?” Imagine when a lawyer says, “Is it you that said to the people, ‘O `Isa, take me and my mother as gods,’” because they came and they said, “You know that `Isa is the son of God,” and sometimes they say he is God. Allah (swt) revealed Surat `Aali Imran, the first 80 verses is all a reply and response to this Christian delegation that came to Rasoolullah (s). Allah started with ‘Alif, Laam, Meem’ and Allah, Rasoolullah and Awliyaullah know what that means, but we continue, Allahu la ilaha illah huwa al-Hayy, “There is no god except Him, The Ever-Living One.”

God never dies, and there is no way a god can die or who is managing His kingdom and universe, who is taking care of his servants? Either a god is ever-living or if he dies then he is never ever-living. They say Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, but if he is a god then how can he die? God does not die, He is Ever-Living, al-Hayy, one word. There is no one moment that death can happen to God, not even sleep, not even seenatun, the sign of sleep, snoozing, as all of us have today (due to pre-dawn prayers). One word, Allahu Akbar wa li-llahi ‘l-hamd.

This comes after what we read yesterday in Mawlana Shaykh Nazim’s notebook about tanazzalu taqbeel al-yad, to lower oneself to kiss someone’s hands. Mawlana (q) talks about Abu Ahmad as-Sughuri (q), one of the grandshaykhs of the Naqshbandi Golden Chain. Sayyidina Ahmad as-Sughuri was talking about Aya Sophia in Istanbul, where the coronation of Byzantine emperors took place. There you see circles on the ground marking where the emperor, empress and family stood during the coronation. He is speaking about that masjid originally built as a church, and that Allah (swt) made His will to speak this story, and what we receive from the grandshaykhs we believe. Grandshaykh says that when a Wali hears a story related about the Prophet (s), they see the Noor of Rasoolullah (s), the knowledge, as the Divine Light moves with it so they don’t need to verify it through the Chain as they know this is a true story.

So he said, they were trying to build Aya Sophia as the marker for the Church of the East, but every time they tried to build the huge dome it cracked. They couldn’t fix it, until they heard that an-Nabi (s) came in Arabia, when he sent their emperor a letter. For some reason, that architect was inspired to go to the Prophet (s), through his heart coming: “Go to that prophet and he will tell you how to build the dome.” He asked permission of the Caesar and thought if he is truly a prophet, he will surely have something to make this dome perfect. Rasool’s name is Mukammil, the perfect and al-Mukammil, the other day we were talking about Waasilun, The One Who is Connected, and Mawsoolun, The One Who Connects. Prophet (s) is also Kaamilun, The Perfected, and Mukammil, The One Who Perfects. So that one was inspired from the Reality of Rasoolullah (s) that he will have something to perfect this dome, and so he left Constantinople and went to Madinatu ‘l-Munawwarra `ala saakinihaa afdalu ‘s-salaatu wa ’s-salaam.

Abu Ahmad as-Sughuri (q) related that Prophet (s) asked, “From where did you come?”

He said, “I am an architect building the biggest church in the East, but I have one problem. Whenever I build the dome, it does not hold.”

In Reality, it was because their belief was cracked. Al-Hayy!

Prophet (s) mixed his saliva with some earth and said to the man, “Mix this with the mortar and it will hold.”

That man had discussion in his heart: “What is this? I came all the way from Constantinople to the desert to ask for the `ilm of the perfection of this dome, and all he gave me is this sand with his saliva in it! We came to see if he has knowledge, but he has given us this! What is this?”

So he went back until he reached a place close to Istanbul and he was very thirsty. There are secrets here; it is a story, but there is always taa’weel, hidden knowledge in stories. He was asking for knowledge, just as when Prophet (s) put his holy saliva in Sayyidina ibn al-`Abbas’(r) mouth he became an ocean of knowledge. So Prophet (s) put his saliva in that sand, which means his Holy Knowledge, what he has uttered from Holy Qur’an:

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُّبِينٍ

In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. (Surat ash-Shu’ara, 26:195)

“(We have revealed Qur’an) in a clear Arabic tongue.” The tongue is saliva, so it means, “Your religion will only become true or stand with the knowledge of Muhammad (s).” So that man walked back to Istanbul and was almost there, but he reached a place where he became very thirsty by the will of Allah, and he found a well, and it came to his heart, “I am carrying sand with the saliva of Rasoolullah and this well is very deep. If there is a secret in this sand, then it will have some special effect.” So he took a few grains from it and he threw it in the well and it became a gushing spring of water from which the man drank. Grandshaykh (q) said the well overflowed and started to move after him! He ran and the water chased him as he moved, rushing on him! That is the knowledge of Rasool (s): there is no end to his knowledge. That man ran up a mountain and the water rose up to become a lake, and to this day you see a whole land with the towers of its churches flooded with the water that came from that well with saliva of the Prophet (s): his knowledge covers all churches.

He finally returned and everyone was so happy, hoping the church will now be finished. So they gathered to meet him and asked, “Did you find a way to fix that problem?”

Now the man understood what a great favor he had received but he wanted to attribute the knowledge of that to himself, his nafs, to show off, and he said, “That knowledge is not from him, but from me.”

How many mashayikh these days take knowledge from others and attribute it to themselves to show off? So that man said, “I just tired myself traveling there and back. However, I will build it, I know how to do it.” Then he put the saliva of Rasoolullah in the mortar and began to build that dome. He did not mention, “Rasoolullah supported me with that knowledge.” Today so many go online and read what Rasoolullah (s) brought and attribute it to themselves. That dome is still there on Aya Sophia, and Grandshaykh is saying when Qiyamah, the Day of Judgment comes, the same way that the cover of a teapot falls off and rolls on the ground, when Allah (swt) destroys Earth to build the new Earth for Qiyamah, that dome will not be destroyed, but rather it will fall and roll on the ground because of the power of Rasoolullah (s) in it!

A man came, Rasoolullah (s) gave him something to hold the dome, and they were surprised, but this is mu’jiza, the miracle of Rasoolullah (s). Grandshaykh is saying, Constantinople will be open, and Rasoolullah (s) gave the power for that church to be built for it later to become a masjid. That is why Saahib az-Zamaan goes to Istanbul, Constantinople: that church became a masjid, and now it’s a museum but it’s going to return to being a masjid. When Saahib az-Zamaan takes the amaanaat–which are in the palace behind the Aya Sophia masjid–he will take the secret trusts, and he and his khulafaa, deputies, and his wuzaraa, ministers, will pray in that masjid. Grandshaykh said in that church the Qiblah was corrected by Sayyidina `Ali (r), and you can see the finger impression of Sayyidina `Ali (r) where he rotated the church.

Therefore, Sayyidina `Ali (r) is involved, Sayyidina Mahdi (as) is involved, Rasoolullah (s) is involved, the Divine Knowledge is involved, in a church! Why, what is worshipped in a church? Allah (swt), God, plus others. O Muslims! O Mu’mins! O Human Beings! Your heart is a church, but your heart has to be a masjid! In your heart you worship Allah (swt), but there are also others in your heart. Mawlana Shaykh Nazim is giving you a story to indicate a secret in your heart, that you have turned your heart into a church. You pray to Allah, but you worship others, and the one you worship is your ego, which tells you, Anaa Rabbakum ul-`alaa, “I am your Lord most high.” And who is going to correct that? Sayyidina Imam Saahib az-Zamaan! He will turn your heart into a masjid, and Sayyidina `Ali (r) will correct your Qiblah!

Your direction is dunya; you ask for dunya; you teach people the knowledge of books to gain more dunya! Sayyidina `Ali (r) will correct your Qiblah. These are all secrets contained in this story: for your heart to become a pure heart directed to Allah, Sayyidina `Ali (r) has to put his finger in there. Sayyidina Imam Mahdi (a) has to take your sacred Trusts and turn your church into a masjid in which only Allah is worshipped: that is Tawheed. They speak about Tawheed; grandshaykhs teach it better than they teach it. Not only that, your church will become a masjid and hold its dome with the Holy Knowledge of Rasoolullah.

May Allah forgive us. May Allah make us from those who reach Saahib az-Zamaan, who corrects hearts to become a masjid to Allah (swt).

لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ

…For those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (there in prayer). (Surat al-Baqarah, 2:125)

Those who make tawaaf, `itikaaf, and ruk`u in Masjid al-Haram at Mecca al-Mukarramah, they say the real taaif is anwaaru ‘l-ilahiyya, the Divine Lights, those who are always in the Divine Knowledge. If you can turn your heart into a landing strip for the Divine Lights and Divine Knowledge, then it becomes a real masjid. That is what Sayyidina Imam Mahdi (a) does to your heart, and Sayyidina `Ali corrects its qiblah with the knowledge of Rasoolullah (s). Then you will have the perfectly structured masjid.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) said that is a majestic scene, because then you see the Divine Lights in your heart. That is what awliya do: they are witnessing and receiving Allah’s Divine Lights from Rasool (s). He is with you wherever you are. May Allah give us all that scene, inshaa-Allah. So be careful: don’t put others beside Allah, don’t ask for dunya and put it in your heart, don’t ask for your ego to become big and put it in your heart, don’t make your heart into a church, don’t worship dunya and your nafs.

O Muslims! These are the teachings of Tariqah. May Allah make us from those who reach real Tawheed and give power to that masjid. May Allah forgive us.

Bi hurmati ‘l-Habeeb wa bi sirri Suraati ‘l-Fatihah. Al-Hayy.
